Azat Reservoir and Azat River, Armenia
The Azat (or Azad) Reservoir is a beautiful body of water located in the Ararat region of Armenia, near the village of Lanjazat and Yeranos mountains. It sits at an altitude of 1,050 meters above sea level and has a capacity of 70 million cubic meters.
Upper Azat Valley Was listed to UNESCO world heritage site in 2000 with Geghard Monastery.
